Petrified Wood By Alaya Artistry

Once, it was a tree breathing light. Roots in the dark, branches in the sky, it marked seasons in rings and gathered years in silence.

Then the Earth took it back.

Buried beneath shifting ground, the wood was sealed away from decay. Mineral-rich waters moved through it in secret, replacing fibre with crystal, cell by cell, century by century. What might have disintegrated instead transformed. Grain became stone. Growth became geology. Time itself settled into matter.

Petrified wood is not merely a fossil, but endurance made tangible. It carries the memory of forests long gone, of climates that changed, of landscapes that folded and rose again. No two pieces repeat the same story. Each surface bears the script of pressure, mineral, and age, written slowly beneath the world’s surface.

In this collection, we honour what nature has already composed.

Every line, every variation is nature’s own composition, untouched and unrepeatable.

Chosen for spaces that value depth over display. Objects that draw you in, slowly.

Once living, now lasting.

Earlier reaching upward, now grounding space.

A fragment of deep time, finding its place in the present.

Standard-sized pieces are ready to ship, while custom orders may take longer. As each piece is made from natural petrified wood, variations in colour, texture, and pattern make every piece unique.

Caring for Your Alaya Petrified Wood Collection

Handling, Placement & Longevity

  • Placement & Movement : Petrified wood pieces can be heavy. Avoid frequent movement.
When repositioning, always lift with full support.
Edges, like any natural stone, can chip if handled roughly.
  • Over Time : With age, professional polishing may be considered if required.

Everyday Care & Cleaning

  • Daily Care : Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth to keep the surface clear.
  • Cleaning : If needed, wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap.
Dry immediately to preserve the natural finish.
  • What to Avoid : Avoid abrasives, harsh chemicals, and prolonged moisture exposure.
A light, mindful touch helps maintain its natural balance.

Preservation & Natural Finish

  • To Maintain Its Sheen :
Buff occasionally with a soft cloth to restore its natural glow.
  • For deeper nourishment and richness :
Apply a small amount of mineral oil or natural beeswax using a soft cloth.
Allow it to absorb over a few hours or overnight.
Wipe off any excess to leave a smooth, even finish.
With age, professional polishing may be considered if required.

    Note :
Unlike marble, petrified wood is non-porous and highly stable, making it easy to maintain over
    time.
